Cast your mind backwards to a time before rain and injuries and holidays, to a time when The Blades got some games of cricket in.  And spare a few minutes to think of who you thank deserves the coveted P(AAO)POTY award for this season.

The stats are the stats but they only tell half a story. Who IYHO gave that bit extra? Who batted above themselves even though they might not have scored that many runs? Who bowled like a demon but was unfortunate to be twatted repeatedly over the fence? Who turned up every week and waved the Albanian flag despite not even being a player anymore? OK maybe that last one doesn’t qualify, but you get the idea. It’s not about the numbers it’s about the Spirit Of The Blades.
