Who has been your Player of the Year for 2017? Certainly not Versamy, I would suggest – she hasn’t delivered the weather we needed at all – so she isn’t on the list.

But every Blade who donned the Baggy Blue this year is in the poll below, waiting for YOUR vote and the chance to join that elite list of POTYs…

The Awards dinner is just a few weeks away, so we need to do some voting; let’s start the ball rolling with Champagne Moment, but first we need a shortlist. I’ve compiled this list from the games I was at:

• St Giles home, 3^rd May
  Lowe-‘s perfectly weighted run out
  Chamberlain’s two-wicket almost-maiden under pressure
• Shirley away, 5^th July
  Afzal wicket in the opening over, steadying Blades nerves
  Whitear’s two catches behind the stumps
• NOCS away, 21^st June
  Meering’s high-leaping c&b
  Galpin’s retirement for 26*

but I need your suggestions of other Moments to consider from games that I missed, namely:

Shirley home 24th May
NOC away 16th August
Vine away 31st August
